An organization through the alignment of teams brings in a powerful impact in organization processes. This directly controls the variance in outputs at every stage resulting significant improvement in sigma level. This approach of TQM ensures an improvement in quality output.
TQM also supports the formation of teams on different levels. Generally, there are three teams, top management, middle management and shop floor teams. Every team has a team leader as a rule. The team leader from each level is also a part of the next higher-level team. This practice provides an organized structure in which there is effective communication both, vertically and horizontally.
